“Imagine that right now in Catalonia would be thousands of Russian tanks, armored vehicles and soldiers running from Russia”, – said the Minister.
The Parallels between the situation in Catalonia and what is happening in Crimea and the Donbass is incorrect because of the Russian aggression. This was stated at a briefing, answering questions of journalists foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.
“Then, by definition, can not carry out any parallel. Imagine that now in Catalonia would be two thousand Russian tanks and armored vehicles, thousands of soldiers of Russian regular troops and tens of thousands of Russian mercenaries. And all this was financed and controlled by Russia. In this sense, we do not have separatism, we have a real Russian aggression in Crimea and Donbass”, – he said.
At the same time, Klimkin said that Russia tries to wage hybrid war against all of Europe. “In this respect we have common challenges,” he added. Russia is trying to exploit the situation in Spain in order to “build the false logic of events in Europe,” trying to put in a number of illegal occupation of Crimea, events in Catalonia and the situation around Kosovo, reports RBC-Ukraine.
