In Russia, the Deputy of legislative Assembly of Leningrad region Vladimir Petrov proposed to introduce a fee for traveling to resorts over the border to the Russians. Thus the people’s Deputy hopes to attract tourists to travel around the country and help the economy.
According to the source, Petrov sent a proposal to the head of the Federal tourism Agency Oleg Safonov. The people’s Deputy considers it appropriate to charge the Russians who went to rest in foreign resorts, to 100 rubles a day. The fee will depend on the country to which the traveler went.
“Unscrupulous tour operators in the pursuit of profit and the client has created a serious bias in favor of cheap, but questionable from the point of view of comfort and safety resorts near abroad”, – said Petrov.
The Deputy is sure that his plan will support the domestic market, as the received funds can be spent on the development of material-technical base and infrastructure of the Kuban, Rostov-on-don, the Caucasus and other tourist destinations of Russia.
Along with this mandatory exit fees will attract tourists to travel around the country and will be a great help for the domestic economy.
