Russia has paid 3.2 million dollars of the IAAF and waiting for permission

The all-Russian athletics Federation (vfla) fully paid to the International Association of athletics federations (IAAF) debt in the amount of 3.2 million dollars, thus fulfilling the last requirement of the roadmap for the restoration of their rights.

“May 31, wfla in full paid IAAF debt in the amount of 3.2 million dollars was reported by TASS said the President of the club Dmitry shlyahtin. – Thus, formally, the Federation has fulfilled the last requirement of the road map for the restoration of wfla. Earlier, as you know, the Russian side had fulfilled another condition of the road map – the transfer of the world anti-doping Agency (WADA) samples of the Moscow laboratory”.

The IAAF Council, which will consider the question of the possibility of recovery of the club, will be held in Monaco from 8 to 9 June. On 6 June a meeting will be held Slatina with the members of the working group of the IAAF.

In the case of restoration of membership of the club at the IAAF Russian athletes will have the opportunity to participate in international competitions under the flag of their country.

Membership of the club at the IAAF was suspended in November 2015 on the basis of investigations conducted by WADA Commission led by Richard pound. Later the IAAF formed a working group headed by the Norwegian rune Andersen, which together with the Russian side implements the recovery organization (a road map).
