The Russian government will consider a bill to simplify the procedure of provision of some categories of foreign citizens and individuals without citizenship temporary residence permit and a residence permit.
The bill specifically proposes to issue a permit for temporary residence to certain categories of foreign citizens without regard to quotas approved by the Russian government. This rule, in particular, will apply to citizens of Ukraine, persons without citizenship, permanently residing in Ukraine.
In addition, a decrease (from six to four months) periods of consideration of applications for permits for temporary residence.
A novelty of the bill is the introduction of an indefinite residence permit.
