At the industrial exhibition INNOPROM-2017, which ended recently in Yekaterinburg, was showing a very interesting invention from the holding “Schwabe”. It’s a smart or rather intelligent traffic lights, which should significantly complicate the life of the drivers in the Russian reality.
Yet smart lights for the authorship of “the Schwab” has no name and exists only in the form of a prototype. It was the work of the specialists of Ural optical and mechanical plant, part of the holding, and it has a built in camera with a 360 degree view and is engaged in surveillance of all drivers on the road. Traffic light monitors all the most common violations including hitting the stop line and “Zebra”, as well as a stop in the wrong place and several others. All the data it can transmit not only the control center for movement, but also on a mobile device lurking in the bushes nearby.
It would seem that what is wrong is that the smart traffic light stands out 24/7 and hands over violators of the law? No, the idea is great, only the Russian reality is that the markup is constantly erased, but is updated once a year, and because the stop line simply may not be, but the traffic light can know about its existence and still send a complaint about violation. So, I hope that the holding “Schwabe” will create more and smart layout that will not be erased. The smart traffic light is currently in development and does not yet have a date of release.
