Russia conducted a successful test launch of a new missile defense system (NMD).

The tests were on the ground Sary-Shagan in Kazakhstan.

“New upgraded missile interceptor missile defense system successfully completed the task and struck conditional goal at the set time,” – said the Deputy commander of the Association of air and missile defense Air and space forces of Russia Colonel Andrey Prikhodko.

The missile defense system is in service, the aerospace forces of the Russian Federation, designed to protect Moscow from the attacks of air and space attack and also performs tasks in the interest of systems of missile warning and space control.
