The ship Roy Star had three names, and since 2014 not used
For a cruise itinerary that includes the Russian ports of Sochi and Novorossiysk, as well as the ports of Yalta and Sevastopol in Crimea and the Federal Agency of Maritime and river transport of the Russian Federation (“Rosmorport”) acquired the ship Roy Star 1971 construction. This was reported on the website of the Russian Ministry.
The ship in 2005 “is given in compliance with modern requirements”, and in 2013 and 2017 years “it’s been consistent renovation”.
In “Rosmorport” said that a ship with a length of almost 142 meters “is fully ready for passenger operations.”
According to CruiseMapper, Roy Star was built in Nantes (France), recently sailed under the flag of Panama. Previous names of the vessel – Eagle, Azur, Royal Iris.
Roy Star used to work at the Eastern Mediterranean cruises to the ports in Cyprus and on the Greek Islands. In 2014, the owner, Mano Cruises, have stopped the activities of the ship.
