Tillerson threatened new sanctions against Russia.
United States of America have important information about Russian interference in the presidential elections, which allows to impose new measures against Moscow. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson.
He noted that Russia is aware of the seriousness of the situation to intervene in American elections.
“What we know is sufficiently serious grounds for imposing additional sanctions. We realize the seriousness of this emergency intervention in our elections, and I am sure that Russia is also aware of this,” – said Tillerson.
According to him, at a meeting with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow was not talking about lifting sanctions for aggression against Ukraine.
“We did not discuss changing the status of the sanctions that were imposed on Russia for its actions in Ukraine,” concluded Tillerson.
We will remind, yesterday in Moscow have passed negotiations between Rex Tillerson and Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who discussed mainly the issues related to Syria and raised the issue of Ukraine.
