Russia intends to gradually build its own production.
Russia continues to buy engines for civil and export of helicopters in Ukraine. This was stated by the head of state Corporation rostec Sergey Chemezov.
“For the needs of Ministry of defense, we are completing the project yourself: new engine VK-2500 serially produced at the plant “Klimov” in St. Petersburg. As for civil helicopters and those that are exported, – we buy them in Ukraine, but will gradually increase production”, – said Chemezov, the TV channel “Russia 24”.
