According to analysts, Russia is trying to prevent the expansion of NATO and the European Union and sow discord between unions on the issue of sanctions and defense.
The forecast underlines that the countries of the European periphery there is little reason to fear a conventional military aggression of the Russian Federation. The Russian invasion of the region cannot be excluded, although it is unlikely, as these countries are members of NATO or are located far away from Russia, or both.
