The ban is associated with the process of construction of the Kerch bridge
Russia banned the movement on the Kerch Strait all ships, except ships and vessels of the naval fleet ships and ships of Federal security of the Russian Federation, as well as the ships involved in the process of construction of the Kerch bridge.
The corresponding decree №AB-84-p captain of the port of Kerch published on the website of the Russian Administration of sea ports of the Black sea.
“To ensure navigation safety when conducting marine operations in the construction of transport crossing through the Kerch Strait … to prohibit from 06:00 to 18:00 MSK, 9 August 2017 sailing of all ships, except ships and vessels of the Navy, ships and vessels of the Federal security bodies, and courts involved in the process of construction of the object “Transport transition through Kerch Strait,” – the document says.
