In Geneva presents luxury car in retro style.
Exclusive novelty of the Geneva motor show was the presentation of a supercar from the company RUF Automobile GmbH.
A new model in the retro style was named CTR and will be released in a limited edition.
The German firm is in the market of luxury cars in exactly thirty years. In 1987 the world saw the CTR Yellow Bird based on the Porsche 911, which was able to accelerate to fantastic for the time of speed – 342 km/h. In honor of this date the company decided to release 30 sports cars RUF CTR, a prototype of which was presented in Geneva.
The main difference between models from previous developments is to use the original designed chassis. All the cars in the past received your base from Porsche. The designers of the CTR started in their work from the model of the 80-ies of the Porsche 911. But she had taken only the silhouettes of the body, and the rest of the “stuffing” of the car consists of modern materials and technologies.
The base of the body is carbon fiber monocoque. Attached the stretchers, made of hardened steel. This design according to the creators needs to dampen the shock load and allows you to easily recover a car after an accident.
