Rostec will sell itself 60 “Superjet” money from the budget

The leadership of the Russian aircraft industry found a solution to the problem of lack of demand for the Sukhoi SuperJet 100 is the first airliner created in the country after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The state Corporation “rostec” holding “United aircraft Corporation” (UAC), which includes the manufacturer of “Superjet” Irkut will sell 60 machines myself.

The aircraft will lease the airline Red Red Wings, which also is owned by “Rosteh” (via UAC), told “Vedomosti” sources familiar with the transaction.

The scheme, according to them, has already presented to President Vladimir Putin on may 13, held a meeting in support of the aviation industry. It was attended by the CEO of UAC Yury Slyusar and General Director of “Rostec” Sergey Chemezov.

To Fund the deal will require the Federal budget – about 100 billion rubles in subsidies and guarantees received by the buyer of machinery, which subsequently will give them to lease. They can be also included in the “rosteh” “Asiacapital service”. Other contenders for the money – VEB and in the face of a child “VEB-Leasing” and prinadlezhashie the Ministry of transport STLC.

The extra planes are in the hangars of “Irkut” because of the mass rejection. Mexican Interjet has ordered 30 SSJ100, and 22. Irish Cityjet ordered 15 with options for another 16, and seven. There were other customers, refused in the end from the aircraft, say the sources of “Vedomosti”.

The price of the SSJ100 continues to grow every year: from 2015 to 2020 it increased from approximately 27 million to 33 million dollars. Based on these numbers, the UAC now has a fleet of unclaimed liners cost about 2 billion dollars.
