Lesya Tsurenko won his first victory in the main draw of the Open championship of France on tennis.
For the first time in nine years, Ukrainian tennis players met each other in the main draw of the tournament series Grand slam. Lesya Tsurenko tried the fifth attempt to register a debut win in Paris, and Catherine Kozlova expected to develop their professional success.
In a bitter struggle Tsurenko pulled out a victory in the first set – Les was lost with the break, but managed to turn the tide of the match. Second set Kozlova virtually no resistance – Catherine three times gave his submission, and admission not earned a single break-point.
On the way to a debut victory at Roland Garros Lesya Tsurenko has implemented 6 of the 16 break points and won 68 points, including 12 of the 15 successful exits to a grid.
Next opponent Lesia Tsurenko in the Open championship of France will be 40-I racket of the world from Russia Ekaterina Makarova, sensationally beat the leader of the WTA rankings, Angelique Kerber.
