Happens that comes the Director and/or writer with the world name that the script offers and all that it entitled. The project produce a lot of money, make a movie, advertise, release, and the film fails, sometimes even failing to beat the budget. And sometimes Vice versa: comes unknown Director, sometimes self-taught, with its own script and other things. Like the usual story, a new word in the world of cinema can not say… Allocate for such a project purely formal budget, which with difficulty enough for the bare necessities, and a long time reviewing and trying to edit the script. The film goes to rent and becomes a cult, the audience knocked him on crowds, critics put high scores and admit the film is a real revolution in the genre… What happened to the Terminator Cameron. Seen him, perhaps not all, but I’ve heard absolutely every. In the future the authorities seize cars, and their main enemy is John Connor, the leader of the survivors. The machine is sent into the distant past of the robot to destroy John’s mother until she gave birth to him. But the people sent a robot of his own people who have to stop the robot and save the heroine, unaware of his mission… Boring, primitive story, the older audience that invokes the nostalgia, and younger viewers – yawn. And when you consider that the film is filled with kinolyapyi (the terminator in the course of action is changing shoes, a shotgun makes a machine gun sound, the shot misses the person operating the robot), and the actors take off their rose – colored glasses are not playing particularly well (play, in fact, nothing – the characters are also so-so), it is unclear how the film did not sent to the dustbin of history right after the premiere. Where such a success?

Harmful artificial intelligence, robot the killer, the characters that break it all everyone knows and repeatedly beaten before and after “Terminator”. However, not all, but a considerable part of the laurels got to him, though to him on this subject was filmed the legendary “Space Odyssey” and “blade Runner” and happily forgotten already “Colossus: the Forbin project”, “the Offspring of the demon” and “the wild West”… In General, powerful enough competition to crush third-rate horror, such as “the Terminator”. However, a third-rate horror film has one slight advantage — he’s much less intelligent than the above competitors, and therefore more easily comprehended by a wide range of audience. Cameron did what did his predecessors: put is not quite a new topic in the new and the most popular among the masses form. He places no philosophical (as in the “Space Odyssey” or “blade Runner”), political (as in “Colossus”) or other abstruse questions, just tells the story of how two people hiding from killer robots. And more to the mass audience and not have.
The role played by the terminator himself – as it almost always happens in horror movies, the monster was more memorable than the main characters. Somehow, to Cameron no one had thought to give the evil robot with a metal skeleton. And let the skeleton allotted a couple of screen minutes one way there was and remember, this is important. In the sequels, which finally moved away from horror and went into pure fiction, created new images of terminator – all famous but forgotten T-1000 and TX, as well as a bunch of robots from the “salvation” and “Genesis”. But in the memory of viewers, the word “terminator” is still associated primarily with the original T-800 in the performance of Schwarzenegger in the form of a steel skeleton.

Perhaps these robots were too much. The movie series had already rolled on the third film because of the endless samopovtorov, and the transfer of the action in a post-apocalyptic future was not the best move. Realizing this, Hollywood big bosses decided to beat the other motive of time travel. But “Terminator” was not created for this. The TV series “fight the future” (aka “the Chronicles of Sarah Connor”) was forgotten after the second season. Really good only the second film, and then by the revolutionary the special effects. And all the suspense, all well established in the first film, safely dissipated. All but the terminator is one of the most memorable of cinnamonster, and the first film, despite all the shortcomings, has become a classic of world kinofantastiki and horror.
