On the spot furniture salon-shop “the Emporium” will equip the Museum of the Maidan.
Around this building there was a scandal after the walls are painted “Icons of revolution” – a graffiti with the image of Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Franko and Lesia Ukrainka in Balaclava. About this on his page in Facebook said the store owner Igor Dotsenko.
“That’s the last decision really made without us, but we agree: instead of “Emporium” there will be a Museum of Maidan”, – he wrote.
Recall, 3 September in Kiev Patriotic painted over graffiti on the store on the street, which was painted during the time of Euromaidan. They have the status of monument of local importance.
The owner of the store, “Emporium” Igor Dotsenko called the graffiti a “typical street art, which from time to time remove utilities”. After that, the activists smashed the entrance to the store. Police opened two criminal proceedings on the fact of destruction of the graffiti and the fact of the pogrom.
