Chairman of the Board Kievoblenergo Ivan Polyvyanyy became a victim of robbers.
25th of September became known of the brutal murder during the attempted robbery of the Chairman of the Board Kievoblenergo Ivan Polivanovo.
The press service of the Channel reported that the Chairman of the Board of Kievoblenergo and his wife were attacked on September 24 at about 20:00 in their home in the village of Belgorodka of the Kiev-Sviatoshynsky area.
Law enforcement authorities established that the group of unknown persons came into the yard through the fence. In the yard they attacked Polivanovo and dragged him into the house where they tied him and his wife.
Then the robbers began to beat them, demanding to tell where the safe is. However, to know that they failed. Then they took 15 thousand UAH, which is found in a prominent place, and a gold ring women and her husband moved to another room. There his body without signs of life was later found by the police.
According to the report, the police and an ambulance brought the victim’s wife, which after some time managed to free himself.
On 25 September the head of the press service of the police of Kiev region Nikolay Zhukovich told the media that, according to the preliminary forensic examination, Ivan Polyvyanyy was strangled.
“The safe they found, so the man was dragged to another room. There are already preliminary forensic examination. Death occurred from mechanical asphyxia – strangled him,” – said on his page.
According to him, the house was not equipped with technical means of security that allowed criminals to infiltrate the yard.
“There are no leads. The attackers were four. They were in masks,” reported Zhukovich.
Wife of Ivan Polivanovo received medical treatment and now she is preparing for the funeral. The woman already testified to the police that conduct the necessary investigations and looking for possible witnesses to the crime.
According to the chief of police of Kiev region Dmitry price, likely, the attackers had not planned to kill Ivan Polivanovo.
“All signs point to the fact that the attackers did not intend to kill the owner, and committed a crime with the purpose of acquiring property. The scene the attackers stole jewelry and a small amount of money,” said coens.
At the same time, Nikolay Zhukovich told the media that the police check the version of the connection of the murder with office activity of the slain official. But he added that the basic version of motive of the crime, according to police and an attempt to seize the property of the victim.
On this fact openly criminal proceedings under clause 6 of part 2 of article 115 of the Criminal code of Ukraine – intentional murder for selfish motives (sanction of article provides imprisonment for the term from 10 till 15 years or for life, with confiscation of property).
