American scientists believe that in 2018 kilkist strong earthquakes will increase significantly. This is due to the slowing rotation of the Earth.
Geologists Roger Bilham and Rebecca bendik wrote a scientific article which says that next year we may be witnessing 20 powerful earthquakes. The intensive will take place in tropical regions, where about one billion people.
The researchers analyzed earthquakes since 1900 of magnitude higher than seven points. Observations have shown that earthquakes occur more often when the Earth rotates on its axis slower due to internal vibrations of the planet.
