Renault is planning in the coming years to develop electric car which will be produced under the brand Dacia.
The first electric car under the Romanian brand promises to be “quite affordable”.
According to journalists, representatives of Dacia took note of the statement made by the Minister of ecology of France, Nicolas Hulot. According to him, the French authorities intend to 2040 in the country to ban the sale of petrol and diesel engines.
“The biggest trend in the automotive industry worldwide is the increasing number of electric cars, the increase in the number of Autonomous cars. 2040 is far away, but Dacia is part of this transformation in the future”, – said the commercial Director of the company of Renault in Romania, Hakim Butera.
All the details about the future of the electric car are still kept secret. This is supposed to be car-sized Sandero hatchback or compact crossover Duster.
We will add that for several years the head of the automobile Alliance Renault-Nissan Carlos Ghosn said: “there are no obstacles that would interfere with the appearance of an electric Dacia car in the future. If there is demand, of course, we can produce it.”
