The decision of city Council to rename the Avenue General Vatutin Avenue Roman Shukhevych seriously stirred the social network.
The decision of the Kyiv city state administration was outraged, not only Kiev, but also residents of many other cities of Ukraine.
It is noteworthy that Vatutin during the war led the operation to liberate Kiev and was mortally wounded in a skirmish with the forces of the UPA. After the war the monument to General Vatutin was established in many cities of Ukraine and Russia.
