Rates new: the people of Kiev are preparing a nasty surprise

In 2018 in Kiev may grow by cold water.

In 2018 the cost of cold water in Kiev will increase from 15.79 to 18.46 hryvnia.

The rate of 18.46 hryvnia per cubic meter – still only a proposal. The final decision about how much the people of Kiev to pay for water, make can only NKREKU. At the same time, the Commission insist that the tariff should be economically justified and include expenses on repairs and modernization of infrastructure. According to “Kyivvodocanal”, 80% of the Fund’s worn out, and money for replacement of pipes no.

“Of more than four thousand kilometers of water half almost completely worn out. To keep them in working condition requires significant financial and labor resources, ” – says the Director of the Department of Economics and Finance “Kyivvodocanal” Irina Kirilyuk.

By the way, the water rates each company is different. It depends on the economy of the enterprise, the technologies they use. According to estimates NKREKU, the largest component of the tariff salary. For example, if the Ukrainians have spent on cold water 100 hryvnia, on average, the 38.2 of the hryvnia will be spent on the salaries of employees of the local “Vodokanal” of 27.4 hryvnia will be spent on light (the pumps are powered by electricity) and 21.2 of the hryvnia – for banking services, checking meters, 70 cents – for the payment of interest on loans, 4,5 hryvnia for repair of 6.5 hryvnia depreciation and 1.5 hryvnia in taxes and fees.

This year, as noted by the representatives of local authorities at the Commission meeting in February 2017, it turned out that Ukrainians spend less water than projected in the calculations. The more the company sells, the cheaper their service. However, due to the significant price increase communal Ukrainians began to save.

It should also be recalled that according to the new law “On commercial accounting utilities”, be considered the amount of the payment will be new. Each apartment, as before, for water will pay according to an individual metering device – that is, the counter in the apartment. But the counters will stand on each house, and if it turns out that the sum of all readings in apartments smaller than the indications of the house counter, the difference will have to compensate.

Even after the price increase, said the officials, bills for water – only five percent of all housing and utility costs. The average family of three spends 7.2 per cubic meter of cold water per month. Now the capital of the same amount of water costs to 113.6 of the hryvnia, and in the next year if new fees are approved, bills will increase to 132,9 hryvnia.
