Albinism is a congenital defect characterized by the absence of pigmentation of the skin, hair and iris of the eye.
White animals, whose nature cheated the natural colour of the coat, skin and eyes are called albinos.
The reason for this phenomenon is genetic mutation, characterized by the congenital absence responsible for the color pigment melanin. There are two types of albinism – full and partial. In the first the animal is completely devoid of pigment color and pink or red eyes, the second on some parts of the body can be pigmented skin and hair, and eyes colored in blue or natural color.
