No less than 134 people have died as a result of heavy rains and landslides in Southeast Bangladesh.
“According to local authorities, from the disaster suffered County Rangamati and Bandarban, where flooding disrupted transportation and telecommunication. In only one district, Rangmati killed 98 people, said the representative of the administration Natural Mannan. Many of the victims were flooded in their houses,” – noted in the publication.
While many people are reported missing, including in remote areas, so the death toll could rise. This was stated by the representative of the emergency management Bangladesh Reaz Ahmed.
