The race to the cost of products in Ukraine is headed by the fat, which has risen to 4 times.
“For 2 years the fat has shot up in price in 2,5 times. There are even some regions in our country, where Ukrainian lard has risen as much as 4 times”, – said the President of the Association of farmers and private landowners of Ukraine Ivan Tomic.
The expert added: “the Paradox is that this year the price race on food headed by the Ukrainian fat”.
According to I. Tomich, the reasons that the race of rising food topped the fat, simple. We 20% have reduced the number of pigs. This African swine fever, and unstable policy towards the industry, and the elimination of VAT exemptions. All these factors have influenced the rise in price of fats and its deficiency. Therefore, we do not have enough in the domestic market of fat, respectively, have increased its price.
Products in the next year to become cheaper in Ukraine will not, except buckwheat. All other products will continue to rise before the end of the year, and that in the coming year, concluded the expert.
