Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday, 10 August, made an official statement that after she leaves the throne would pass the crown to her grandson William and his wife Kate Middleton.
The statement of the Queen suggests that Elizabeth II has ruled out his son, Prince Charles, from the hereditary lineage of the crown and rights to the throne. The reason for this decision, according to the British Queen, was that new generation that is younger than her son, will become a guarantee of the prosperity of the house of Windsor in the distant future, through his energy and star quality.
“Her Majesty is understood that William and Kate are the future,” said a source close to the Queen.
“She’s 65 years spent on the throne and knows what it takes to the House of Windsor has survived, and sees that William and Kate have the energy and star quality, which are necessary for the performance of public debt in the modern world. Queen Elizabeth will always do what’s best for the long term health of the monarchy,” the source said.
As previously reported, 96-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth II Prince Philip departs from fulfilling its public duties of the monarch. It is reported that the Duke of Edinburgh, which during the Second world war served as a naval officer, will hold a parade of the Royal Marines at the Buckingham Palace.
