The gadget is equipped with a modem X50, announced about a year ago.
Qualcomm tested for the first time mobile technology 5G, using the modem X50. The latter was announced about a year ago, and in the presence of a complete infrastructure, the data rate of the smartphone can be up to 5 GB/s.
Also, the company demonstrated 5G-smartphone reference design that will be used for testing of the new generation network and components that make it work.
It is expected that the first smartphones that support 5G will be available in the first half of 2019.
