Russian President Vladimir Putin will not take part in the session of the UN General Assembly, which earlier opened in new York. This was stated by his press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, Putin will not be able to attend due to schedule.
“This year the President’s schedule did not allow him to participate in a session of the UN General Assembly, and he does it every year. So there is nothing unusual,” – said Peskov.
As you know, the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly officially opened on September 12. The Russian delegation is headed by Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.
“The Russian position in the UN, its leading role in world Affairs, the leadership are well known. President Putin has repeatedly affirmed its commitment to this line”, – said Peskov.
