Putin travels to Germany to discuss with Merkel the situation in Ukraine

The two leaders will discuss the military conflicts in Ukraine and Syria and also discussed energy issues.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel on August 18 will of Russian President Vladimir Putin. On Monday, August 13, Die Welt reported.

According to the representative of the German government Steffen Seibert, the meeting will be held on Saturday, at the residence in the castle of Meseberg.

Seibert also noted that the center of the meeting will be “current issues of foreign policy.”

In particular, he said, Merkel and Putin will speak about the conflict in Syria, the situation in the East of Ukraine and discuss the energy issues.
