Russian President Vladimir Putin and us leader Donald trump held a “very long conversation”.
This was announced by Putin.
– I had a very long conversation with the President of the United States. Have a lot of questions – there is Ukraine, Syria and other issues, some bilateral questions. We’re back to fighting terrorism, cybersecurity, Putin said Friday at a meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe. He also apologized to Abe for being late because of the long Russian-American talks.
The conversation lasted 2 hours 16 minutes instead of hours (the duration announced by the Kremlin). As reported by the Associated Press and Reuters, the U.S. and Russia have agreed to cease fire in the South-West of Syria from July 9. Expected to welcome Jordan and Israel.
Prior to the summit, trump said that he was honoured to meet with his Russian counterpart. Putin in turn said he was pleased to meet with trump and expressed hope for its effectiveness.
