The Kremlin has called a wave of calls about bombs “telephone terrorism”.
Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the wave of anonymous calls about mining of buildings and infrastructure in Russian cities is “telephone terrorism”.
“Of course, it is telephone terrorism, and telephone harassment. Certainly, the President was informed as soon as I started this series of hooligan calls,” – said Peskov.
According to the representative of the Kremlin, the competent authorities shall take the necessary measures to identify those involved in phone calls about explosive devices. All information will be provided on the outcome of the investigation.
This Peskov declined to comment on possible versions of what happened: “I repeat: it is telephone terrorism, and that’s exactly what he needs to qualify”.
We will remind that since September 10, emergency services received calls about bomb and suspicious objects in many cities of Russia.
