The President of Russia Vladimir Putin submitted to the state Duma a bill on amendments to the Federal law “On education in Russian Federation”. The document is published on the website of the lower house of Parliament.
In the definition of parenting Putin proposes to include “the formation of students’ sense of patriotism and citizenship, respect for the memory of Fatherland defenders and the exploits of the heroes of the Fatherland, to the rule of law, human labor and the older generation, mutual respect, respect for the cultural heritage and traditions of the multinational people of the Russian Federation, to nature and the environment.”
The bill proposes to make education part of the educational programs. They want to include the “working program of education” and “calendar plan of educational work”.
Earlier, Putin called patriotism of the Russian national idea: “I think that nothing else can be. Patriotism should not be leavened, musty and sour.”
