The corresponding decree was signed, citing “humanitarian principles”.
Russian President Vladimir Putin pardoned a resident of Sochi, Oksana Sewaside that in 2016, condemned for treason in the form espionage.
According to the document, a woman is exempt from further punishment in form of imprisonment.
As noted, the President signed a decree “guided by the principles of humanity.” It shall enter into force five days after its official publication.
Earlier it was reported that 46-year-old woman was sentenced to seven years penal colony on charges of treason. Krasnodar regional court ruled in March, but by December this was not known.
