The Russian leader will taste traditional Japanese cuisine, which is not always safe.
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin is with official visit in Japan, where after a meeting with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe waiting for his dinner with a poisonous puffer fish. This was reported on Twitter journalist of the Kremlin pool Dmitry Smirnov.
He noted that this will be an informal dinner during which will be served traditional Japanese food.
“The menu prepared by Japanese for Putin and Abe, an informal dinner includes beef and fugu fish,” wrote Smirnov.
Fugu is a dish of Japanese cuisine from some species of venomous fish of the family Blowfish Takifugu genus that contains the poison tetrodotoxin. In Japan, fugu is considered a delicacy and is very popular.
