There is a hope that this decision will be in the interests of all parties.
The special representative of the US State Department on Ukraine Kurt Volker believes that Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has not yet made a final decision, what he wants to do in the Donbas, so that there is the possibility that this decision will be in the interests of all parties.
He said this in an interview with the Gorshenin Institute, which was shown at the eighth National Expert Forum in Kyiv.
“Who makes the decisions? President Putin. And I think that President Putin has finally decided what he wants to do here. And we can reach an agreement that will benefit all: Ukraine, Russia and the West,” he said. According to him, we are talking about the withdrawal of foreign troops from the Donbas, the reversion of the sovereignty of Ukraine, and about the political steps foreseen by the Minsk agreements.
“That is our hope,” said Walker.
