President Vladimir Putin signed a decree awarded the widow of the first President of Russia Naina Yeltsin the order of St. Catherine. About it reports a press-service of the Kremlin.
Naina Yeltsin awarded for his great contribution to the realization of socially significant humanitarian programmes and active participation in charitable activities.
Today the widow of Boris Yeltsin age of 85 years.
The order of St. Catherine was established in Russia by presidential decree of may 3, 2012. This is one of the highest state awards. They are marked peacekeeping, humanitarian and charitable merit.
The first who decades later was presented with this award, became the abbess of St. Nicholas Chernoostrovsky female monastery in Maloyaroslavets abbess Nicholas.
