Putin’s intention to provide the Minsk government loan of up to $600 million, told journalists the Minister of Finance of Russia Anton Siluanov. According to him, the money will go for refinancing payments repayment of the principal on previously granted loans by Moscow.
On the same day it became known that Belarus shall terminate the certification of fruit and vegetable products arriving from third countries for customs clearance on the territory of Belarus and further re-export to Russia. This measure will affect all the products that fell under the embargo imposed by Russia in 2014 in response to Western sanctions.
