Russia is not supplying the tanks, the self-proclaimed DNR and LC, the number of which reaches 700 units. This was stated press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
“Answer the question, where there are tanks, perhaps you can have the same effect to ask Moscow and Kiev, where there are tanks. Here I have no information, – said Peskov. – I can tell you that, of course, not from Russia.”
To the question, how can take out tanks, if the occupied part of Donbass borders only with Russia and Ukraine, Peskov said: “It’s still the Ukraine, areas not controlled by Kiev, but it’s Ukraine, despite what Kiev rejects these regions.”
According to him, it is necessary to ask the Ukrainian authorities, why such situation has developed and why there is a slippage with the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
Commenting on the statements of the Deputy of the state Duma Sergei Zheleznyak about the possible arrival of “new volunteers” from Russia to Donbas, Peskov said that “according to official channels no volunteers there do not go”.
“However, naturally, there are Russian citizens who voluntarily go to protect people from the aggressive actions of the armed forces of Ukraine”, – he said.
