The President of Russia Vladimir Putin at the meeting of the Russian security Council on Friday, September 29, said that Russian media outlets operating abroad are faced with growing and unsustainable pressure.
This was told by his press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
“It was emphasized that such pressure on the Russian media is unacceptable,” – said Peskov, however, did not name the country in which, according to the Kremlin, the law of the Russian mass media prejudice.
Note that Russia ranks 148 th place in the annual press freedom Index from international non-governmental organization reporters without borders, below Afghanistan, Qatar, Myanmar, Venezuela and Pakistan.
