The decision of the President of the United States to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel may lead to destabilization of the situation in the middle East. On Monday, December 11, said the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
“Russia fully supports all the decisions that were taken previously on this issue the UN security Council. Counterproductive any steps that would prejudge the outcome of the dialogue between Palestinians and Israelis. We believe that such steps are destabilizing, not help to resolve the situation, but on the contrary, provoke a conflict,” Putin said.
According to the Russian President, to restore direct Palestinian-Israeli dialogue on all contentious issues need a long-term agreement that meets the interests of both parties and relevant earlier decisions of the international community.
