The head of the Russian Federation is ready to meet with the American President in Helsinki during the potential Arctic summit.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was ready to meet with his American counterpart Donald trump during the Arctic summit could take place in Finland.
He said this at the plenary session of the forum the Arctic – territory of dialogue, writes Russian journalist Dmitry Smirnov on Twitter.
“Putin asked about the likely meeting with trump in Finland: If such a meeting will be worked out, we’re ready. Helsinki is a very good place”, – the journalist wrote.
As you know, the chairmanship of the Arctic Council will move to Finland in may 2017 is two years from the United States. In this regard, the country has long discussed the possibility to hold an Arctic summit.
