The Russian leader agreed on the Syrian conflict with President of Turkey.
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin said following the meeting with the leader of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan that the two countries managed to agree on the terms to end the war in Syria.
“Despite the difficulties, we still managed to achieve a positive result. Consider these agreements to our General, a critical success. The success of our friend, Mr. Erdogan,” − said Putin.
“In fact, the necessary conditions for termination of the fratricidal war in Syria, the final destruction of the terrorists and the Syrians return to civilian life, to their homes,” − said the Russian leader.
“We create the conditions for return of refugees. Most important, we create the conditions to enhance the search process for a durable political settlement in Geneva under the auspices of the United Nations”, − said the President of the Russian Federation.
Note, Putin met with Erdogan in Ankara on 28 September. The talks lasted more than an hour and a half.
It is noted that the two leaders also touched upon the issue of a referendum in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, discussed issues of agriculture, in particular, the supply of Turkish tomatoes to Russia.
Moscow expects in a short time start in Turkey the first unit of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant and run the pipeline Turkish stream.
