Korean company Kia has revealed details of third generation city car Picanto 2017 model year, without waiting for the official debut of the car at the Geneva motor show in March this year.
The wheelbase of the new citicar increased by 15 mm, and the total length of the car remained the same — 3 595 mm, but despite this, the cabin has added legroom and head of the passenger rear seat. The rest of the range includes models with 66-horsepower 1.0-liter 83-horsepower 1.2-liter petrol engines, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. According to the statement of Kia’s 1.0-litre unit, equipped with a system stop/start, will emit 89g/km of CO2. But for the 1.2-liter unit available four-speed automatic transmission.
To improve handling, engineers added a more rigid front and rear sway bars, upgraded rear torsion beam, making it lighter, and the steering rack was 13 percent “faster” and has now 2.8 turns lock to lock.
