Published the first pictures of the new Ford Fiesta

The new generation supermini Ford became longer and wider than the predecessor.

Days at the Ford plant in Cologne, Germany, began production of the new Fiesta. To ensure new processes, the American automaker has invested 293 million euros, and now claims that the new Fiesta will roll off the line every 68 seconds.

Best selling in Europe, the car Ford demonstrates new strategy for the company. Fiesta will be available in four different versions — sports ST-Line, sophisticated Vignale and Ghia, pseudo-crossover is Active and the top model Fiesta ST, however, the last two versions will come next year.

“We have offered this iconic little car, in attractive, fun and athletic, moving it to the next level, with a large selection of models than ever, with advanced technologies and features, which the buyers of small cars a few years ago could only dream of,” said Jim Farley, Executive Vice President of representative office of Ford Motor Company in Europe, Africa and the middle East.

The new generation supermini Ford became longer and wider than its predecessor, and, according to the company, “with significant improvement in the overall quality, more stringent standards to compete with the best in this segment.”

The car is equipped with a very wide range of driver assistance systems, including collision warning with pedestrian detection, active Park assist system with perpendicular Parking, cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, adjustable speed limiter, monitoring of blind spots, indication of the distance warning the driver, warning of the lane of traffic, and more.

The range of engines offers three – and four-cylinder petrol and diesel units. The top version of the Fiesta ST will be powered by a turbocharged three-cylinder 1.5-liter gasoline unit with cylinder deactivation developing 200 HP, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, while the emissions will not exceed 114 g/km.
