Company Porsche put the new Porsche 911 GT3 on the Nurburgring, where the car showed real class, showing the second best score of the lap, among all the models of the brand.
Porsche 911 GT3 2018 model year drove a lap on the Nurburgring in 7 minutes and 12.7 seconds. Thus, the novelty has appeared on as many as 12.3 seconds faster than the last model. However, her achievements don’t end there. Among all models of the German brand, which was aired on this route, the best result was shown only hypercar 918 Spyder, which in 2013 held a circle for 6 minutes, 57 seconds.
“A few years ago, such a lap time showed only a thoroughbred racing car on slicks, — said the Director of Porsche responsible for the GT line of models, Andreas Preuninger. Now to achieve similar results and maybe the new GT3 with relatively modest power, which is completely adapted to everyday use.”
Under the “modest power” means 500 horsepower, which gives the 4.0-liter power unit. Working together with a 7-speed gearbox dual clutch PDK it helps the new Porsche 911 GT3 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and develop maximum speed of 318 km/h.
It should be added that the German automaker put the track car in such a configuration, in which it is available to customers of the brand.
