Published new footage of the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait. Video

Preparation for transport and installation of the arched spans of the bridge across the Kerch Strait is on schedule, the builders expect to finish the major work on the fairway before the period of autumn storms.

This was reported in the information center “Crimean bridge”.

The implementation of the project was estimated by the Minister of transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov in the framework of the working visit to the construction site.

“The naval operation to transport and installation of the arches of the bridge Crimea will take place with minimal restriction of navigation in the Kerch Strait. One-time suspension of movement on the fairway will not exceed three days, — said Sokolov. Immediately after completion of the manufacturing operations, the channel will immediately be opened for the passage of vessels”.

The Minister recalled that the preparation for unique operations began at the design stage of the bridge. The construction and installation works on the Seine estuary area started last summer. At the same time bridge builders started pre-Assembly of arch spans on the stacker platform on the Kerch coast.

As the press service reported, according to the plan Seine estuary supports are ready to receive the arch in the second half of August.
