The Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine voted for resignation of the President of Ukrtransgaz.
“Naftogaz of Ukraine” has dismissed from a post of the President of the PJSC “Ukrtransgaz” Igor Prokopov, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“The Board of “Naftogaz of Ukraine” in coordination with the Supervisory Board voted for the resignation of the President of the PJSC “Ukrtransgaz” Igor Prokopov”, – stated in the message of the holding on Friday evening.
According to him, “Naftogaz” announced the search for candidates and is planning to soon hold a competition for the position of President of “Ukrtransgaz”.
Currently, the duties of the President of the company temporarily takes the first Vice-President Miroslav Khimko.
I. Prokopiv held the position of President of “Ukrtransgaz” August 2014.
As reported, in mid-February 2017, the management Board of “Naftogaz of Ukraine” suspended I. Prokopov from office of the President “Ukrtransgaz”, and the Supervisory Board of the state holding approved the decision.
According to the NAC, the independent auditor Deloitte&Touche found a number of violations during official check financial documents of “Ukrtransgaz”. Later on these issues were investigated as the external auditor, and the newly created organ of internal audit of “Naftogaz of Ukraine”.
Ukrtransgaz, 100% owned by NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, operates a system of trunk pipelines and 12 underground gas storages of the country with a total capacity of 31 billion cubic meters.
