PrivatBank has not fulfilled loan obligations – Ministry of Finance

The former shareholders of PrivatBank Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov as of June 29, has not fulfilled its unilateral commitments on the restructuring of the loan portfolio of the Bank until July 1, but their operations must on July 1 and report involved PrivatBank Advisor Rothschild&Co.

This was stated by Finance Minister Alexander danyluk.

“At this point, the obligations are not met. But negotiations are still ongoing. According to the results of decisions will be made. There are legal concepts: we have to wait until July 1,” said the Minister on Thursday.

He added that there should also be an independent evaluation, which was attracted by the consortium of international companies headed by Rothschild&Co, which also includes OOO “Ernst & young” (EY) and LLC “Pinpoint” (FinPoint).

Danyluk once again reminded that the former shareholders of PrivatBank unilaterally declared these obligations on the restructuring of the portfolio in a letter to the address of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“There’s nothing secret. There is a commitment to restructure the portfolio in the amount of reserves at the time of nationalization, minus the bail-in,” said the Finance Minister, but for the full text of the letter is encouraged to contact the Secretariat of the Cabinet.

“I’m the Minister of Finance. My main objective is to stabilize and grow the Bank, passed to the state, we cope with this task”, – said danyluk.

According to him, in case of violation of these obligations implications for former shareholders of clearly settled law, however, this issue should be addressed by law enforcement agencies under investigation: General Prosecutor’s office, Netpolice.

Commenting on the statement of head the Bank after the nationalization of Alexander Shlapak intention to resign, the Minister announced the search for a new head.

“The situation is under control. We are looking for a worthy replacement. When this happens, Shlapak will be able to continue his career,” said the Finance Minister.
