Prime Minister Shinzo Abe officially announced that the lower house of the Japanese Parliament will be dissolved on September 28.
“The dissolution of the lower house will be held on September 28 the day of the extraordinary session of Parliament to conduct early elections,” said Abe.
According to him, over a five-year period of his tenure as Prime Minister “, the government managed to expand the economy in the direction of growth and the course of economic policy will continue”. He also noted that these new transformations will be allocated 2 trillion yen (17.8 billion dollars).
The term of office of the current composition of the lower house of Parliament expires in December 2018. However, the Japanese Prime Minister intends at the expense of early elections to maintain the position of the liberal democratic party (LDP), which, together with the Junior partner in the ruling coalition, “New Komeito”, holds an absolute majority in both houses.
Extraordinary elections to the lower house, expected to be held on October 22, and election campaign will begin on October 10. A victory will allow the government to continue the current policy.
