Postal service will raise rates on mail

The price increase planned for next year.

From 1 January 2018, the postal service will increase rates for mailing an average of 16%. This was reported on the official website of the National Commission, carrying out state regulation in the sphere of communication and Informatization.

As noted, consideration of the issue was initiated by the postal service in connection with the entry into force of the new edition of the procedure of regulation of tariffs for universal postal services and also due to the increase in the cost of services.

“The basis for the revision of the tariff is the change in the rates of taxes and duties, minimum wage, rents, prices and tariffs for fuel and energy and material resources that affect the level of planned cost of postal operators”, – said the NCCIR.

Ukrposhta also provided for consideration a package of documents with the calculations the increase of the maximum tariffs for universal postal services on average by 16%, namely, for mailing within Ukraine by 12.3% and in a foreign country – by 43.2%.

“The decision to approve a new maximum tariffs in the manner prescribed by law to be filed for state registration to the Ministry of justice of Ukraine. The new tariffs will take effect from 1 January 2018,” – said the Agency.
