Porsche has introduced most powerful and extreme of the 911 throughout its history – the GT2 RS new generation.
The premiere model took place at the Festival of speed in the British Goodwood. Rear-wheel drive supercar is equipped with a 700-strong Biturbo “six” in volume of 3,8 liters and seven-speed robotized gearbox with two clutches.
The unit is built on the basis of a 580-strong motor version of the Turbo S, but RS-Ki used other blowers, upgraded cooling system and a titanium exhaust system that weighs seven pounds less than the regular “Turbo”.
In addition, the motor added to the system of water injection into the intake manifold that increases power, improves fuel combustion and reduces the temperature of intake air. For her prepared a separate five-liter tank (in the trunk in the front), which, as previously reported, enough for three quick rounds at the Nurburgring.
From zero to hundred kilometres per hour such car is capable to accelerate in 2.8 seconds – 0.1 seconds faster than the Turbo S. top speed of 340 kilometers per hour.
